Week-1 of 2nd edition of Abhyasa Film Making Workshop

Abhyasa is conducting 14-days (7 weekends) Film Making Workshop with an aim to impart skills on Film Making, in association with Annapurna International School of Film & Media.

Students from Class-VII to XI have enrolled their names for the workshop to learn the minute details of the movie making. The participating student's have been divided into 8 teams who will be making a short film after the completion of the workshop.

Week-1 - Introduction to Film Making, Story & Scriptwriting

Mr. Amit Prasad, Core Faculty in Screen Writing, who has been trained under American film industry stalwarts like Michael Eisner (ex-Disney President), Darren Lynn Bousman (Director, Saw 2), Brett Leonard (Director, Lawnmower Man), Valerie Mccaffrey (Producer, American History X) in the art of Story Development and Screen Writing, was the faculty for the week and has trained students on story building, development and script writing. He spoke about how to start writing a story, its plot, theme, protagonist & antagonist. He divided the participants into groups and gave a theme each to write a skit and enact. He also shared his knowledge on the various software's available for screen writing, how to register and write a script.

Later he interacted with the participants, clarified their doubts and shared his contact details for them to reach out to him for any guidance. The day ended with all the participants taking a group photograph.
