Yoga and Spirituality

Creating a Collective Consciousness:

Whatever competencies we gain or however high we may soar, unless we know "Who we really are" and "Where we have come from” and "What Purpose we are here”, to "where we are proceeding” – life would forever seem an unsolved mystery. Value Education combined with spiritual discussions provide an insight into Meta – physics and Para – psychology – thereby nurturing a "fully aware individual”.

Matters of Mind and Matter:

One of the greatest gifts of India to the world is yoga and meditation. Students at Abhyasa are trained right from day one in various 'Asanas' in the morning. The day concludes with prayer and meditation that rejuvenates the minds to turn another fresh leaf.

Developing Integrity in Students:

At Abhyasa students are trained to be independent and act with integrity, to develop openness and act boldly to achieve their goals.

Spiritual Talks by the Principal:

The Principal personally talks to the students to take them to a different level of thinking and looking at things differently with more pragmatic and practical approach.

Interactions with Personalities of the Month:

Every month Abhyasa invites personalities from various walks of life to interact with the students. These interactions not only give exposure to the students about the field of the Personality, but also make them aware of Life's experiences.

Daily Yoga and Pranayama Sessions:

This is a daily activity at Abhyasa for all the Children. Children are taught various techniques of Pranayama apart from Yogic exercises. Every Sunday the students also practice Kriya yoga, to cleanse their bodies.

Meditation Hall:

This hall helps those students who want to spend some moments of solitude and introspection. This not only helps them to develop their concentration but also strengthen their creativity.

Vedic Recitation:

The chanting of Vedic hymns activates nervous system creating an impact the brain and spreads powerful vibrations all around. The Abhyasa students are taught to chant Vedic hymns which is a part of their daily activity.

Circles of Confidence:

This is an interaction conducted by the Principal personally with the senior students which helps them to speak their mind out and find solutions for any personal problems that they are suffering without expressing them.

Annual Pilgrimage to Prasanthi Nilayam:

The Pilgrimage to Prashanthi Nilayam is conducted generally at the end of the Diwali vacation, where the interested students get the opportunity have the Darshan of Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba apart from visiting various interesting places at Prashanthi Nilayam.

"Nagar Sankirtan"

This is an activity where the students go around in the streets of the village, early in the morning, chanting god’s name and singing bhajans spreading holy vibrations in the town. This is conducted on all the festive occasions.
