Holi Celebrations-2018 at Abhyasa

Holi is the joyful Hindu Festival of Colors. It is celebrated over several days in early spring when the wheat is harvested. The festival marks the coming of spring and observes new life and the seasons. This year the Holi festival is celebrated on March 2nd. It is an ancient Indian festival that is believed to have existed several centuries before Christ and is mentioned in stone inscriptions and in sculptures on the walls of old temples. The meaning of the festival has changed. In earlier times, the festival was a rite performed by married women for the happiness and well-being of their families.

In Abhyasa, Abhyasites started Holi celebrations with Holi ka Dahan on 1st March evening. With wood, straws and co-dung cakes in the mid of cross road and make a big heap for the ceremony of Holika Dahan. It is a ritual carried out everywhere.

On 2nd March Morning by 7.00am the arrangements were made for Holi Playing for Children in Play Ground,Natural colours were prepared, pink from Beet Root, Yellow from Turmeric water & Green from Spinach water are prepared a day prior & kept ready for students. all the students Enjoyed the Holi to their hearts.
