Geographically Sriharikota Range(SHAR) is situated at 80 Deg. East and 13 Deg. North. The launch Centre located at Sriharikota island, was named as Satish Dhawan Space Centre, SHAR(SDSC,SHAR) in September 2002, in memory of Prof Satish Dhwan, who was Chairman of ISRO from 1972 to 1984. They saw the models of PSLV (Polar Satellite Launching Vehicle) GSLV(Geo Stationary Satellite Launch Vehicle), GSLV MK III. Then They were taken to Rocket Launching Pad where they were Shown the First Used Launching Pad and the Current Launching Pad and explained to them how the rockets are launched from there. In live, they saw the Meteorological Satellite and the UK Commercial Satellite which is going to be launched on 10th July, 2015.
