REPORT ON ZAKIR HUSSAIN CONCERT

Abhyasa Residential School is well known for preserving Indian tradition, and hospitality is one section of the tradition that the school is proud of.

On the 17th December 2011, class XI students of Abhyasa, offered their service at Hyderabad's grand old Palace Chowmahalla (from where the Nizams once ruled the State) as a part of hospitality during Zakir Hussain's musical concert.

The world renowned Tabla player was at his best performance as his fingers danced on the tabla and kept his audience spell bound through his performance. The hall reverberated with the sound of music.

Officials of Taj Hotel guided our students while they took care of the dignitaries in the green room. The students also navigated the crowd to the proper gates for entry and exit. Zakir Hussain was so impressed by this selfless service that he appreciated our students profusely. The student batch had left school in the afternoon and returned late after midnight.

Attending the concert was a great inspiration for the table players of the school. They said it was an unforgettable experience for them and were thankful to the school for giving them such an opportunity.
