THE 63RD REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATIONS

The school celebrated the Nation's 63 rd Republic Day solemnly on the 26th of January 2012. As per the tradition and custom of the school, the Marathon runners assembled early in the morning in front of the Toopran Police Station. The DSP of Toopran flagged off the Marathon run. As per the custom of Abhyasa, the winners of the Marathon run, Master Krishna of Class XI Science and Miss Kamini Kishore of Class XI Commerce hoisted the National Flag. This is a unique opportunity given to the students at Abhyasa.

After the general salute and Vandemataram, the students of class 1 began the programme with a patriotic song. Their little hands held the Indian flags adding colour to the rhythm of the song.

This was followed by a Republic Day speech by a student of class VIII Master Udesh, which talked about the progress of India. The speech also gave a logistical analysis of the country's achievements.

The melody of Classical songs and patriotic songs which followed the speech held the attention of the audience. "Is India safe for Indians?" The topic for debate was thought provoking one. As the school debate team debated for and against the topic, the audience sat spell bound contemplating on this issue. The moderator winded up the debating session by saying that the question now rests in the hands of the young Indians. It all depends on one's outlook. Ending on a positive note, the moderator requested everyone to strive hard to make the country a haven of peace.

The Director and Founder-Principal of the school, Mr.Vinaayaka Kalleetla was very impressed by the debating session, the patriotic songs and the spirit of the marathon racers. He congratulated everyone for putting up a great show that suited the occasion. In his message, he said that the school strives in creating good leaders for the country. He concluded with his statement that it is all in one's mind set to be a Leader or a follower. He also shared that as Abhyasites every student from Abhyasa should reach greater heights as potential leaders. He wished the school a happy Republic Day.

The school joined in tune for another patriotic song. The assembly dispersed for the school sports events, with the distribution of sweets and greetings exchanged,.

Wish you all a happy Republic Day. Let us see some of the glimpses of the event…
