Class-Wise Credits

The school offers a variety of subjects that cater to various capabilities among children so that each child is able to discover his/her aptitudes. Abhyasa has thus adopted the philosophy of 'Perfect in all-Excel in one!' for her students and expects all students to be perfect in all fields while they are motivated to excel in any one field of their choice. They simultaneously acquire multiple skills in as many areas as possible to become an All-Round Personality!

NOTE: Students opting for Hindi as the Second Language would have Telugu at the Third Language (for class IV to VI) and students opting for Telugu as Second Language would have Hindi as the Third language.

Foreign nationals can opt for a 'Foreign language' for their class X examination in place of hindi or telugu


NIE – Newspaper in Education

The school subscribes for a personal copy of leading national newspaper to every student. The newspaper is read-out on rotation basis at the daily morning school assembly .every student gets an opportunity to improve their reading skills and also overcome their fear of facing large audiences. A newspaper quiz is conducted daily – based on the previous day's news contact. The contents of the newspaper are also integrated into various subjects depending on the articles published in relation to the topics being covered in the class. Trained personnel are deputed by the newspaper publication for class lV to Vll to train students in topics related to personality development.


ICHV- Indian Culture and Human Values

Whichever direction an individual may branch -out to in this vast world, he/ she is invariably in a culture that they are born into. At abhyasa, indian culture and human values are given prominence through assembly talks and regular weekly classes for Vl to Vll classes. The values are imbibed by addressing their everyday-life issues and connecting their issues to various parables. From mythology, fiction and religious text of various faiths. Spiritual and cultural programmes are conducted on campus apart from talks by visiting spiritual personalities. The essence of all religious teachings and the unity in diversity of faiths is established.


SUPW - Socially Usefull Productive Work

SUPW is an integral part of academic curriculum right from classes Vi to Xll. Every child is trained to be self-reliant through activities such as student management groups namely through service, mess management, event management, sports management etc. students are taught to keep their environment neat and clean be it their class rooms – dormitories or campus members of rural service group interact with the local community and offer various self help activities for the upliftment of the needy. Every child is graded on a weekly basis and a cumulative grade is awarded at the end of every academic year.


Life Skills – Personality Development

Student from grade Vll to garde Xll are trained by professional management trainers and human resource consultants for developing apt soft skills necessary for effective inter- personal skills through various management games and team building exercises. Children are also exposed to various walks of life through talks by reputed personalities who are invited to the campus once in a month. The speeches of 'the personality of the month' inspire students to choose a goal for life and get input on how to reach those goals.


Sunady Specialization Classes

Abhyasa recognizes the innate potential of every student across classes lVto lX and has set aside a good three- hour time every sunday for training in a vocation identified to develop their aptitudes. Students can choose any two out of the following activities; basket ball, cricket, swimming, athletics badminton, art, dance, literature, music, vocal-& instrumental, martial arts, school band, gymnastics etc. the students of class X, Xl and Xll spend time in enhancing their skills for facing competitive examinations of various indian universities. The school also facilitates bringing in experts in various skills/academic subjects to coach the students on sundays.


Current Affairs And Quiz

Students are abrest with current happenings across the world through the newspaper and television. Current affairs are integrated into regular subjects in class room teaching and sunday specialization classes. Weekly competitions are held across classes in debates, elocution, declamation, quiz between the two student houses – to inculcate a competitive spirit among students.


Art & Crafts

Curriculum Art is an abstract and concrete medium of expression of the subconscious feelings that cannot be normally expressed through the medium of spoken language. Students across class lV to Vll are trained during their impressive years to integrate their hands, head and heart that inspires creative thinking and visualization. Art and craft is also applied into various academic subjects for projects and records. Students are graded and their works are displayed for parents at the end of each academic year.
