Abhyasa – the first school in the twin cities to introduce the Smart Class
It was a moment of great pride for Abhyasa for becoming the first school in the twin cities to introduce the Smart Class. Classes from IV to VIII have a 42 inch Plasma TV Digital board, Hard disk, Keyboard and wireless mouse in every in class room. One more unit has been set up in the ‘Green House’ for the students of classes IX to XII. In all, Abhyasa has 13 smart classes in the first phase itself! Classes have become more interesting and the teachers are also well-equipped to handle abstract topics deftly. Students who need extra re-enforcement are taking help of these classes. Presently, 8000 modules across classes and subjects are available and 5000 modules will be added to the content list shortly which includes clippings from the Discovery Channel and Britannica.

Appraisal System for teachers :

Abhyasa believes in being ahead of time in all areas of the teaching-learning process. One has heard about the appraisal system in the corporate sector, but we at Abhyasa are perhaps one of the first few schools to follow a bi-monthly appraisal for the teachers. A comprehensive Teacher’s Appraisal format is the outcome of a brain-storming session involving the teachers along with the management and consultants.

This comprehensive format comprises of 4 major areas viz. Lesson Planning, Teaching Effectiveness, Post teaching evaluation and teacher’s involvement in school programmes. Teachers get incentives based on the scores they achieve. The teacher toppers are awarded with certificates of recognition.

Inter - School Literary Fest – A roaring success :
A convergence of students and teachers from some of the best schools in the twin cities took place at the Abhyasa Residential Public School campus at Toopran on 18th July 2007 as a prolific event of the language fest 2007. The prominent schools like Hyderabad Public School, St. Ann’s High School, Geetanjali Senior School, Nasr School, Geetanjali Devashala, Sherwood Public School and Rama Devi Public School had taken active participation.

In the haven of pure natural surroundings and aromatic atmosphere, the visitors relished the gathering. A very warm hearted welcome and hospitable hosting really touched the guests. It was complimented by several programs.

The language fest signified the importance of linguistics and communication in day – to – day life. It also opened the doors for exchange of ideas, information and cordial gestures among the meritorious schools.

The programme in its entirety consisted of several pageantic cultural items, competitions and a healthy interaction between the students and teachers. Though, it was basically a set of competitive events between the different schools, the impressive performances by Abhyasa School children totally gave it a face of splendid cultural event. Skits, songs and theaterical pieces were presented in such a professional style that the spectacle became an expression of gratitude towards language.

The immaculate presentation of “Mohini Bhasmasura” episode happening at Sri Krishnadevarayas durbar left the audience at the edge of their seats. They also relished the devotional songs embodied by children in Lord Krishna, Lord Rama and Laxmana’s costumes.

The English cultural program typified the changes and trends set over five hundred years in the language. The dialogue – recording, presentation and costume – set were unquestionable.

Surely, there were also several competitions among the students such as essay writing debates, puppet show etc., to elevate the standards of character, confidence and creativity, the qualities which are the mission and vision of Abhyasa Residential Public School. The puppet show competition was a highlight in which the latent treasure of creativity in students was explored and presented in its best.

Summing it up one would definitely hold such a colorful event in depths of his memory for a life time and enlighten the rest of community and man kind
