Greetings
everyone.
Perfection is gained through practice. And by our work, we
understand the importance of doing so by visiting the vast
proximities of the outside world. In the course of this year,
the Abhyasa family has bagged laurels in several Inter-school
competitions apart from participating in various work-shops
on education and technology and visits to places of intellectual
interest like the Intel® Science Fair, CCMB etc.
Academics at Abhyasa has always been a supreme
pursuit towards excellence. This year has proved to be a fruitful
one by the efforts of young minds. Following are our achievements
:
NATIONAL AWARD :
Abhyasa was one of the chosen 20, among prestigious schools
in our country to be bestowed a 'National
Award' by the Jagadguru Shankaracharya of Kanchi Kamakoti
Peetam, Kanchipuram.
Out of the 680 schools which participated in a conference,
Abhyasa was chosen for its 'Creative
techniques in classroom teaching.' In fact, the National
Centre for Research and Development in Education Science and
Technology, with eminent educationists has invited Abhyasa
to participate in the society's programmes all over the country
- to propagate effective, creative and new methods of teaching
at the school level, to enable the children all over to succeed
in their learning process. Out of the chosen 20, Abhyasa
is the only school to be invited for the society's
programmes, all over the country. Happiness shared is happiness
doubled ! Indeed an occasion to celebrate !
INTRODUCTION OF ISC - CLASS XI
Abhyasa joined the ISC fold with the commencement of class
XI with XI students -choosing the following optional groups
- :: 2 :: Maths, Biology, Physics, Chemistry ; Biology, Physics
& Chemistry with Bio-technology and Commerce, Accounts and
Economics.
ICSE'2003 Results :
A total of 27 candidates appeared for the ICSE March 2003,
conducted by the Council for the Indian School Certificate
Examinations, New Delhi - Abhyasa secured 100%
first classes with 70% distinctions.
SCIENCE EXHIBITION :
On display is Abhyasa's exhibit showcasing the importance
of bio-technology and information technology. Abhyasa's exhibit
was :
- Awarded
the first position for best exhibit in Satyamotsav - in
which almost 20 top schools from all over South India participated.
- Awarded
the second best position in the category of Information
Technology - The District Science Fair, organised by the
Department of Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh at
the Medak town,in which more than 600 schools from all over
the district participated.
OFF
TO MARS :
Abhyasa bagged the second
position for its creative power presentation
organized by IL & FS Education & Technology Services Ltd,
integrating the use of Technology and multimedia with participation
from 45 schools across the city. Abhyasa's presentation entitled
'Living on Mars', which included imaginary and creative illustration
of life on the Planet Mars.
A.P. REGIONAL ISC & ICSE Sports Meet'2003
Abhyasa carved a niche for itself in the sports arena, by
playing host for the A.P. State Regional ISC & ICSE Sports
Meet'2003 in which :: 3 :: around 50 schools from all over
Andhra Pradesh participated. Abhyasa was lauded not only for
the fair conduct of the sports meet but also setting a record
with the least expenditure incurred on the event with its
strict financial discipline. Now for our medals tally in the

Five of our students were selected to represent
Andhra Pradesh in the National meet
held at Lucknow in Oct'2003 Master Jayesh Kariya returned
with a bronze in swimming.

Learning is a process with a lot of experiences. These experiences

HORLICKS KOOL SKOOL FEST 2003
Sponsored by Horlicks in which around 50 reputed schools from
all over the twin cities participated. There were around 40
