physically fit, mentally alert, intellectually capable,
emotionally balanced, socially responsible and morally forthright.
- To
inspire creativity among students and encourage them
to discover their innate talents and aptitudes through a
pleasurable and adventurous learning process and help them
visualize their future ambitions and make them strive hard
towards actualizing their goals by continually excelling
themselves.
- To
inculcate practical thinking in students along with
a sense of 'discrimination' and 'purpose' towards the action
they undertake - so that they acquire knowledge and skills
to weigh and consider outcomes with reason, empathy and
intuitive judgement.
- To
train students to be self-reliant, resourceful and effectively
manage the challenges of life while harmoniously adapting
to constant changes in the environment with self-confidence,

ORGANISATIONAL
CULTURE
Recognising
the 'diversity in unity' and 'unity in diversity', the following
are the
salient features of Abhyasa's organizational culture :-
- A growth
oriented Discipline - effectively balanced with Freedom
of Expression.
- A right
balance between Formality and Informality - in student-teacher
interactions.
- A right
balance between Independence and Interdependence - in inter-
personal relations.
- A
right balance between Sensitivity and Courage - in intra-personal
relations.
- Promotion
of 'Dignity of Labour' to make students understand
the value of 'work' through social service and self-reliance
and empower the students to 'serve'.
- Advocates
conservation of environment, energy and natural resources.
-
Effective Group Dynamics - without a 'status' complex
- right from the primary student to the Principal- a togetherness
exists as a single family!
-
Leadership that 'contributes' and not 'controls'
- hence Teachers - at the primary school act as 'an
authority with love' - - at the secondary school act as
'elder friends who guide.'
-
Develop a sense of oneness, belongingness and co-operation
within the organization - while competitions are encouraged
between houses and external groups.
-
Develop religious tolerance, broad outlook and stress the
unity of world religions - by preaching to its students
the essence of all religions - while highlighting the common
bond and similarities that exist between them. Students
visit the mosque and celebrate Id-ul-Fitr at end of
Ramazan month and recreate the nativity of Christ
on Christmas eve.
-
All-round development of individuals towards the
shaping of Integrated Personalities - who would make some
difference to the social and natural environment they would
live in.
